To put everything we accomplished in the past year in a few words I would say “excellent service at its best”. As a human service agency we recognize that our services extend outside of the walls of the agency. Whether serving our community, providing support to our sister counties or each other; the FIA staff has done so with such commitment and dedication.

The highlight of this past year for Talbot County FIA has been in building community connections. With the ending of the Public Health Emergency, staff has provided outreach to our Senior population to inform them of the changes in SNAP benefits and provided resources that are available for additional assistance. There have been additional outreach planned to discuss the changes in medical assistance waivers ending and the LIHWAP program availability.

We in Talbot County appreciate the work the Family Investment staff here and across the state do for the residents of Maryland. Go FIA!!!!
