For internal DHS customers and current external data partners, the Data Office team can:

  • create easy access to data to increase transparency and shared ownership.
  • provide analytics guidance.
  • develop cutting-edge data visualization.
  • offer advanced technical support (i.e., dashboard setup, identifying metrics, quality control techniques, etc.).

    All data requests are reviewed to determine whether the requested data is available and can be shared for the purpose requested.[/su_spoiler]

    [su_spoiler Title =”How do I become an approved external data partner?”]
    DHS shares data with many state and local government agencies and higher education institutions through existing data sharing agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs). Please confirm whether your organization or department has an existing data-related agreement with us. For all new partnership requests, please submit a Data Request form (coming soon). We welcome new proposals for enhanced data sharing that benefits the Marylanders we serve.[/su_spoiler]

    The Data Office does not provide Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and/or individual social services recipients’ data. If you receive DHS services and have questions about your case, please contact a local DSS office for more information about your individual case record or complete an online customer service request form: https://dhs.maryland.gov/about-dhs/customer-service/.     The Maryland Public Information Act gives the public the right to review and obtain copies of certain public records. Members of the news media and general public must file a request using the DHS PIA Portal for access to DHS data and records.[/su_spoiler]
